Meizu M3 Note
The Meizu M3 Note was announced back in April this year, and it is one of the better budget phones out there. This phone is actually quite popular in China due to the combination of its price, specs and build quality. The M3 Note sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and it is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor, which is the company’s mid-range SoC. The phone costs around Rs. 9,999 ($150) in India
OnePlus X
This handset is not exactly available at the moment, well, it’s not available directly from OnePlus, but it can still be purchased in India. The OnePlus X is also one of the best mid-range offerings in India at the moment, it sports a very sleek design (glass + metal build), while its specs are nothing to scoff at either. The device comes with a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display and 3GB of RAM, while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 801 SoC.
LeEco Le Max 2
LeEco is quickly becoming a powerhouse in Asia, and the Le Max 2 is the company’s current flagship device. This phablet features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and it ships with the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor. The Le Max 2 is made out of metal, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on it with LeEco’s eUI 5.6 user interface on top of it.
LG G5
The LG G5 might not be selling as well as LG had hoped, but this is still a very powerful smartphone, and definitely a good buy as long as you don’t mind paying that much. The LG G5 is one of the more expensive smartphones on this list, but if you’re looking for a semi-modular smartphone made out of metal which comes with the latest specs, you really don’t have all that many options. The phone comes with the Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM and a QHD display.
Google Nexus 6P
The Nexus 6P is not exactly the newest device on this list, but it’s still a powerhouse. If you want stock Android on your phone, the Nexus 5X and 6P are your only options at the moment. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 810, while it packs 3GB of RAM and comes with a metal build and a 5.7-inch QHD display. The Nexus 6P sports a 12.3-megapixel camera on the back, a really capable camera actually.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Samsung had introduced the Galaxy Note 7 quite recently, but that smartphone is still not available in India, even though it will be soon. Until it comes to India, however, the Galaxy Note 5 remains available, and it is still a very powerful smartphone, and one of the few choices you have if you’re looking for a true flagship phablet. The Galaxy Note 5 features a 5.7-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM, metal build, and it comes with the S Pen stylus.
Xiaomi Mi 5
Xiaomi had released a ton of devices thus far this year, and the Mi 5 is the most powerful one. This is Xiaomi’s current flagship, and it comes with a really powerful spec sheet. The phone sports a 5.15-inch fullHD display, 3GB / 4GB of RAM (only the 3GB RAM model is available in India), and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC. If you’re looking for a smaller flagship, the Mi 5 is one of the best ones you can find out there.
HTC 10
The HTC 10 is a true powerhouse, this smartphone is made out of metal, and it comes with all the latest specs, including the Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, QHD display, fingerprint scanner, etc. The device also comes with a rather capable 12-megapixel camera, and a rather bloat-free UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The HTC 10 is also one of the more expensive devices on this list, but many would argue that it’s more than worth the money.
OnePlus 3
The OnePlus 3 is just as powerful as some other devices on this list, even more powerful in some aspects, and yet it’s more affordable than quite a few devices listed here. It ships with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, a whopping 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor. The phone is made out of metal, and it also sports a fingerprint scanner below the display.
Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are still amongst the most powerful devices available out there. These are Samsung’s flagship smartphones for 2016, and they do have lots to offer, even though they’re quite expensive. If a price is not an issue, and you’re looking to buy top of the line devices, then you should definitely consider the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 Edge. These two devices ship with QHD Super AMOLED panels, 4GB of RAM, great cameras, etc.
